*This position will provide support for virtual psychologists, ensuring that students have the necessary materials and environment for testing, facilitating communication between students, staff, and virtual psychologists, and handling the technical aspects of virtual sessions. This role is critical for maintaining a seamless and efficient assessment process, especially in an online or hybrid learning environment.
All Paraprofessionals must have a high school diploma or its recognized equivalent. Additionally, Paraprofessionals must be qualified through one of the following options:
- Complete two years of study at an institution of higher education; or
- Obtain an associate's (or higher) degree (must provide supporting documents)
Newly hired paraprofessionals who do not meet one of these requirements will be required to certify through the Parapro assessment as soon as possible after being hired as noted below:
- Meet a proficiency target of 455 on the Parapro standardized assessment.
- In addition to the options identified above, Paraprofessionals may achieve local status by meeting a local proficiency score on the Parapro of 450.
When completing new hire paperwork paraprofessionals will receive direction on how to begin the process of scheduling your Parapro assessment.
